Day 6 11/8/13

Holy smokes this day was such a bust. I didn’t even get a chance to post.

5am Breakfast. I will warn you though the Port Chester Whole foods doesn’t have Sun Warrior, and so this morning I was forced to have my Vega One Chai powder. I couldn’t find rolled oats there either, so I am back to Ezekial cereal for this morning. Needless to say I will not be shopping at Whole Foods in Port Chester. So, there. One cup of Ezekial cereal, one scoop of Vega One protein powder, a handful of blueberries, one tablespoon of almond butter, and almond milk mixed with water.

Morning Yoga @ 7:00 It consisted of a lot of stretching these tight hips. I used straps, blocks, the wall, and a bit of the foam roller for my ITB, TFL, and Piriformis.

I had to run down into the city after sessions to see about an orientation. I might be starting a bartending gig one or two nights a week.

I didn’t get out of the city until 4-ish. By the time I got home I barely had enough time to feed the dogs, and myself, take them out, and get ready for my dinner plans which were back in the city.

Lunch @ 4:30 A bit of Salmon, chunks of fresh mozzarella cheese, and half an avocado.

UGH! So much unecessary driving. I can’t wait for parents to be back tonight so they can take back the reins of their house and dogs. Otherwise though dinner was spectacular. Allison, her husband Brian, and myself visited a very old dear friend Dave at Roman’s in Fort Greene. I suggest anyone who is in the industry as well as those ready for some very creative dishes, quality ingredients, and the tastiest non-traditional Italian food you’ve never had. The place is small, the wait is long, the music was strange and familiar, and the servers were beautiful phenomenons, near floating around the chaos with angelic grins and all knowing gestures offering what you needed before you could even ask for it. We lucked out, but I had a bit of bread and this amazing stuffed noodle dish. I know that he did what he could to keep the gluten and carbs to a minimum but it was so delicious. Winter Vegetables, yum. So many great little plates were brought out to us, but nothing compared to those little noodles stuffed with amazing’ness. Sage why are you so tantilizing?

It was sacreligious to not bless this meal that had been handcrafted just for us with a glass of wine, and SO I DID. One delicious glass of red wine! Not everything can be as systematic as we like it and sometimes breaking rules are just as fun as making them. It was a one-of-a-kind experience. Thank you Chef.

Didn’t get home until 2:45 am.
